This site is dedicated to, and exclusively for former members of the 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron and its predecessors. The site originates from the 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, Camp New Amsterdam, NL Facebook Page started by its founding principal Stephen Isaacks. The main objective of this site is to be people oriented. This site will be referred to as “the 32ndTFS Web Site”. Membership is organized into two sections:.

Members are former 32nd Wolfhounds and people who have been affiliated with the squadron from its constitution as the 32nd Pursuit Squadron in 1940 up to and including the 32nd Air Operations group that was inactivated on 1 November 2005. The squadron is referred to as the 32nd. The 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron Association (to be formed) is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of the historical accounts of the men and women that organized, maintained, flew and supervised one of the best squadrons if not the best in the existence of the USAF during the cold war from 1955 till 1994 at Camp New Amsterdam, Soesterberg Air Base, the Netherlands. The Associations’ extensive website archives, of this famous unit, provide a worldwide platform to educate generations, keeping alive the dedication of those 32nd TFS Squadron members that served and sacrificed during WWII, the Cold War Era and beyond.

Wolfhound, do you remember days like this?Oh yes. Not positive, that shot looks like a view of the Bowling Lanes and Arcturus theater, but looks reversed.I remember being able to walk out my second story bedroom window in order to shovel snow away from the doorway. Used to have to plug in the engine block to keep it from cracking. When we were there, it was RAF, RCAF and USAF.

Base

They'd have a winter carnival involving snow sculptures and lots of drinking games between the squadrons. If you could stand the cabin fever and constant dusk in the winter, it was actually a great place to be stationed. I really loved the smaller bases like this one and Camp New Amsterdam, much more of a closeknit community feel than the larger bases.Edited by Wolfhound, 11 May 2016 - 01:04 PM.
